Salon 8: Writers' Salon At The Courthouse

  • Courthouse Arts Centre Dwyer Square Tinahely, County Wicklow, Ireland (map)

For this Saturday participatory salon at the Courthouse Arts Centre we are joined by Kevin O’Byrne (who featured at our Flow Salon) and Emma Matthews, two therapists from the wonderful Minding Creative Minds. Through two workshops they will provide us with practical tools for building a healthy mindset and accessing our most useful inner resources.

Kevin’s session will focus on the use of recorded music for self-directed resilience resource and self-care, using techniques from receptive music therapy and positive psychology. Emma’s practical session, based in self awareness and cultivating a healthy mindset, will examine our existing coping strategies and explore how we might shift to healthier ones.

And between the workshops: a delicious lunch compliments of the Courthouse Arts Centre.

As usual there will be an opportunity to meet practitioners both from one’s own artform and others.

For those travelling from the Bray area, an artists’ bus leaves from Mermaid at 10 am and returns there at 5pm. The fare is €10.
