In this sparkling and elegant romantic comedy, the free-spirited and giddily impulsive Anaïs (Anaïs Demoustier, Alice and the Mayor) careers from one lover to the next while trying to find some direction in her life.
Following a brief dalliance with an older man (Denis Podalydès, Sorry Angel), she soon finds herself captivated instead by his beautiful long-time partner Emilie (Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Summer of ‘85, Only the Animals), a successful and beguilingly charismatic writer, and an affair begins which may just offer the contentment Anaïs has been searching for.
Featuring stunning Paris and Normandy locations, and a lead performance of immense charm by Anaïs Demoustier, the debut film by writer-director Charlene Bourgeois-Tacquet is playful, passionate, and thoroughly enchanting.

Quotes:
‘’There’s something unexpected about the way Anaïs in Love pulls you in, with its airiness making it exactly the right film to watch at this moment as the sundresses are coming out and few things feel better than reading a good book in the grass. Some movies just feel like spring; Anaïs in Love is certainly one .’’
-Mitchell Beaupre, The Film Stage
‘’Bourgeois-Tacquet’s film is a merry-go-round, a kinetic portrait of a young woman stumbling out of love, falling into it, letting it go and picking it back up. Each romance presents an opportunity for growth, but Anaïs in Love is not about coming of age in any neat, linear sense. It’s really about her journey — one that I would, without hesitation, watch again and again.’’
- Lovia Gyarkye, The Hollywood Reporter
‘’ Bourgeois-Tacquet’s script is loaded with witty bon mots and carefully-constructed insights.’’
