Art Sparks – Children’s Art Workshops

Ignite your child’s creativity! Fun classes designed to develop your child’s art skills. Drawing, painting and 3 dimensional art making will be explored through a variety of different projects. Young artists are encouraged to develop their own projects in a range of mediums – painting, clay, papier-mâche and animation! Facilitator: Tina Mouritzen.

The Courthouse Life Drawing group meet on the 1st Thursday of the month from 7pm – 10pm.The sessions are untutored and are designed to facilitate those with an interest in drawing the space and time to be able to engage with their practise.
Tinahely Women’s Choir

Tinahely Women’s Choir returns to the Courthouse Arts Centre this autumn for more sensational singing fun. The choir meets every Wednesday morning from 10am-11.30am in the main space of the Courthouse. Facilitator: Ann Keary.

Teen Fashion Camp
Monday July 16th – Friday 20th Time: 10-3pm
Fee: €60 per child/Concession rate for €100 for 2 children. 12years+
Pick up new skills and unleash your creativity. Students develop basic fashion sketching, sewing, dyeing and printing skills while working with a variety of fabrics and other materials. Great opportunity to experiment with new techniques, build confidence, acquire new skills and be inspired to learn more in summer holidays
Spend the week learning the process of upcycle fashion design, from envisioning, to selecting materials, to putting it all together and showing it off! Leave with your fully designed garments and new upcycling skills! Everyone will create their own upcycled garments which is an expression of themselves, and show it off to their friends and families with a small fashion show on the last day
Gather inspiration from nature, magazines, and the materials themselves, then talk about where ideas come from and what we want to express. Spend time drawing, playing with and choosing the materials, then start on a sewing project to get familiar with sewing machines and hand sewing. Spend the rest of the time bringing your upcycle designs to life!

Following on from the success of their recently launched LEGENDS of WICKLOW Series the Createschool team are back with BrickFlicks for stop motion making mayhem. This week long workshop will focus on Myths and Legends, so come along and learn how to make an awesome set, write a great short story, fine tune your animation skills and then film the results. Bring along your favourite mini figure too and they can be one of the stars.

This workshop is Ideal for those who are new to the world of stop motion or you and for those looking to refresh their skills and want to take their own films to the next level. All equipment and materials are supplied but remember to please bring along your own favourite mini figure as they may be lonely at home.
